Today, Wednesday, will be dry throughout and mostly sunny. At first, widespread but harmless veil clouds will pass through, making the sunshine appear somewhat subdued, but as the day progresses, the clouds will gradually become denser from the west. The wind shifts from easterly to southerly directions and freshens moderately only in the Danube region occasionally. Otherwise, it no longer plays a role. With 8 to 16 degrees, it will still be very mild for the time of year.
On Thursday, clouds will predominate, the sun will shine through from time to time in the east, and the air will be rather hazy. In Vorarlberg and Tyrol, some rain will fall from early morning. In the afternoon, this will spread to Upper Austria and the Mostviertel, but the snow line will be above 1,500 meters. North of it, it will remain dry. In the Weinviertel, a brisk southeasterly wind will blow. Otherwise, the wind will not play a role. Temperatures will reach a mild 6 to 13 degrees.
Friday will be mostly cloudy in the north, but in the central mountains and the south, the sun will shine again and again. Especially on the northern side of the Alps, there will be little rain; the snow line will drop from 1,300 to 1,500 meters at the beginning to about 1,000 meters during the day. A weak to moderate westerly wind will blow north of the Alps, and a southwesterly breeze in the Styrian Hills. From northwest to southeast, highs will range between 7 and 16 degrees.
On Saturday, clouds will again dominate, and in the first half of the day, especially in the mountains, it will rain and snow more heavily. The snow line will drop from 700 to about 300 meters. During the day, the precipitation will decrease; only in the north will it remain unsettled. In the south, however, the sun will shine from time to time. A strong westerly wind will blow from the Mühlviertel to the eastern edge of the Alps. Temperatures will reach 3 to 10 degrees.
